All wallets created on Avacus are non-custodial wallets. Unlike exchanges, this wallet does not require account registration, KYC, or SMS verification; it functions strictly as a personally managed wallet created directly on the blockchain.
Scam Tactics
Some malicious actors exploit the characteristics of non-custodial wallets—such as "no account required" and "difficult to identify the recipient (no unique name attached to the destination address)." Impersonating legitimate entities like Avacus or other wallet app providers, they take custody of user assets and make it appear as though they are "managing the funds successfully."
When you attempt to withdraw your profits, they demand additional deposits under the guise of "extra fees costing tens or hundreds of thousands of yen." No matter how much you pay in requested fees, your assets will never be returned.
Official Position of Avacus
Avacus never advertises services to "take custody of assets" or "manage investments" for users. As stated in the Terms of Service, all in-app wallets are non-custodial wallets managed entirely by the users themselves. Avacus does not hold user assets or engage in any form of asset management.
Red Flags and Warning Signs
Be highly vigilant if you encounter any of the following language or characteristics:
Solicitations promising "guaranteed profits if you deposit" or offering to "manage your assets for you."
Provided URLs that are unnaturally long or use unfamiliar domains.
Support being conducted over SNS platforms rather than through the official in-app support form.
All official Avacus website and service URLs contain domains belonging to avacus.cc (Service), avacus.freshdesk.com (Support Portal), or sowaka.io (Operating Company). Any other websites or DApps have no relation to the official project and carry a high probability of being fraudulent attempts to impersonate Avacus and steal your assets.
If you come across a suspicious solicitation or sketchy website, please do not deposit any funds or connect your wallet.
For further assistance, please contact us via the in-app support form.
