Avacus is not a cryptocurrency exchange, but a non-custodial wallet that allows you to manage your own assets.
How It Differs from an Exchange
On a typical custodial exchange, your assets are managed by the exchange. You may be required to complete KYC (Know Your Customer) procedures when creating an account, and the exchange can provide account-related support such as password resets. Depending on the exchange's terms of service or applicable legal requirements, withdrawals may also be restricted or your account may be suspended.
In contrast, Avacus is a non-custodial wallet. You manage access to your own wallet, and Avacus does not hold or manage your seed phrase or private key. As a result, Avacus does not directly manage your assets, nor does it have a mechanism to suspend or delete your wallet and restrict access to your funds in the same way a custodial exchange can.
What You Can Do with Avacus
Avacus supports multiple networks, including Ethereum and BNB Smart Chain, and allows you to send and receive cryptocurrencies and NFTs. You can also connect directly to external DApps such as Uniswap through the in-app browser and swap tokens using DEXs.
Important Notes
Avacus does not store your seed phrase or private key on its servers. Therefore, you may permanently lose access to your assets in the following cases:
- Loss of your seed phrase or private key
- Loss of your device without a backup
- Exposure of your seed phrase to third parties (leading to unauthorized access or theft)
Keep your seed phrase and private key secure. Avoid connecting to suspicious websites or DApps, and never share them with anyone.
