Is Avacus an Exchange?

Avacus is not a crypto asset "exchange" but a "non-custodial wallet" app where users manage their own assets.

Key Differences from Exchanges

On typical exchanges, the operating company manages your assets and private keys, allowing you to reissue passwords if forgotten. In contrast, since Avacus is a Web3 wallet, all private key management is handled entirely by the user. Avacus never holds or stores important information such as your seed phrase, private key, or PIN code.

What You Can Do with Avacus

Avacus supports multiple networks, including Ethereum and BNB Smart Chain, enabling you to send and receive crypto assets and NFTs. Additionally, you can securely connect to external DApps like Uniswap directly through the in-app browser to swap tokens (DEX).

Important Notes

Avacus does not store seed phrases, private keys, or PIN codes on its servers. Therefore, you risk permanently losing access to your assets in the following situations:

  • Loss of seed phrase or private key

  • Loss of your smartphone or forgetting to make a backup

  • Leak of your seed phrase (resulting in a risk of assets being stolen by a third party)

Please manage your seed phrase and private key with strict confidentiality. Avoid connecting to suspicious sites or DApps, and never share your seed phrase with anyone.
